Thank you for valuing and sharing in our mission. As a slow media project rooted in land protection and deep cultural inquiry, For The Wild relies on the power of independent media—and the communities that make it possible.

We are honored to be held by a devoted network of listeners and collaborators, united by an ethos of care, integrity, and imagination.

Your financial support sustains our work and deepens the web of connection among individuals and organizations working toward a more just and interconnected world.

Thank you for trusting us as stewards of this shared responsibility. Your gift helps us walk further, listen deeper, and create with purpose.

For The Wild
Wanderings with Sophie Strand

—A five-part audio series

These are not interviews. These are invocations.

Recorded during a series of walks through the storied landscapes of Upstate New York, Sophie and Ayana get vulnerable and say the things they shouldn't say. They share moments of catharsis held by their deep kinship. Sensual, elemental, and unapologetically raw, these conversations speak to our collective confusion, our hidden desires, and our profound need to connect with the world around us.

For The Wild’s
Slow Earth Companion

—An Anthology Book

We’re creating our debut print publication—a wild, tender, and nonlinear experience featuring thought contributors like Tyson Yunkaporta, Sylvia Linsteadt, Dori Midnight, adrienne maree brown, Bayo Akomolafe, and Stephen Jenkinson. It’s a distillation of over a decade of For The Wild with prose, art, poetry, ritual, and deep questions.

It’s a strange and beautiful offering. It’s an archive, an altar, a trail companion. It is not meant to behave. It’s tangled and wild. It asks us what it means to live in fragmentary times and still root deeply.

We’re seeking funding partners, a publishing collaborator and book tour hosts from the West Coast to the East, and across the waters to Europe—we’re dreaming of live gatherings, good food, and deep conversation with you.

Support of any amount is deeply appreciated. You can easily contribute here.

If you’d like to join in and help make this book possible, reach us at connect@forthewild.world.

Your support provides honorariums to contributors, covers production costs, helps us choose environmentally responsible papers and printing methods, reduces the environmental impact of distribution, and expands access through libraries and community learning spaces.

Independent media shapes our imaginations.

It can root us in what truly matters—or pull us toward disconnection and distrust. At For The Wild, we believe in media as a force for remembering, for reimagining, and for weaving deeper connection with each other and the Earth.

We’re committed to keeping For The Wild’s podcast as freely-accessible as possible. That means resisting the pressure to over-commercialize our airtime just to stay afloat. To continue offering weekly episodes grounded in depth, integrity, and vision, we ask for your support. This work would not be possible without our community. Each episode is a collective effort—carried by the care, creativity, and generosity of listeners like you.

If this podcast has moved you—if the voices we uplift and the questions we ask feel vital—we invite you to come along with us. Become a monthly supporter on Patreon or make a one-time or recurring contribution via PayPal.

Thank you for helping us protect this space of imagination, inquiry, and belonging.

Come along with us.
